Governors

To set the strategic direction of the school, to ensure accountability throughout the school and monitor the educational and financial performance. 

We are made up of a mix of parent, staff, local authority and diocese governors. We also have co-opted governors who are governors with specific skills which are useful for the board. 

The board meet once per term and regularly visit the school as part of their monitoring activities to ensure the school is delivering the planned improvements set by the Headteacher and agreed by the Governing Body each year. 

As a Church of England school, governors are responsible for ensuring the Christian Distinctiveness of the school is promoted and the ethos and values of the school are maintained. 

Governors have no operational, day-to-day responsibility for the school. The Headteacher has responsibility for delivering every aspect of education and support to the pupils. Governors help set the vision, the Headteacher and her staff deliver it.
