Extended Schools and Clubs

Due to Covid 19 we have had to temporarily reduce the provision that our Extended Schools and Clubs offer to pupils and parents. While recognising that childcare before and after school is important for pupils and parents we have sought to strike a balance between what is helpful to parents and what is possible in this new normal.

For Terms 5 and 6 we are providing our in house After School and Breakfast Clubs.

Breakfast Club 7:45am - 8:30am

After School Club 3:10pm - 5:30pm

We are pleased to be able to offer all parents the opportunity to book their children into the Breakfast or After School Club. Places at the club can be booked using the School Comms link below:

The Clubs offer the following:

  • Pre-school facility from 7:45am - 8.30am
  • An after-school facility from 3.15pm - 5:30pm
  • Care by experienced supervisors and staff in the school premises.
  • The opportunity to enjoy games, toys and other activities.
  • A safe and relaxed environment.
  • A time for a light snack after school.
  • Regular or occasional bookings

If you should wish to take advantage of these clubs, you need to book your child’s place via School Comms and no later than midday on the day you need the place.

We can also arrange for childcare vouchers to be used as part payment. If you have any problems, please let us know.

We are proud of the clubs and activities we offer at Lympne which typically consist of sports, arts and music clubs. At present we have had to reduce the number of these operating. We are hopeful to return to as full an offer as possible in Term 6.

This information below provides an example of our typical offer:

Extended Opportunities and Clubs

We are continually looking to improve the opportunities that we provide for all of our pupils throughout the school year.

As such we run a wide range of clubs and extended opportunities for pupils across the year.

We have a range of sports clubs that run across the school year – some of these clubs aim to further develop pupils’ skills in preparation for competitions – such as football club. Some clubs are run for pure enjoyment and we try to choose sports that are not ‘traditional’ and as such might appeal to a broader audience. We have run: Pickleball, Handball and Ultimate Frisbee as well as more traditional clubs such as netball and rugby.

Many of the clubs we run are free, however for some clubs there may be a small charge. To book your child a place at any of the Elite run clubs please click on the link below.  Booking for all other clubs should also be completed through the School Gateway link above. Any other booking arrangements for other clubs will be communicated to parents via newsletter.

We are always seeking ways to provide wider sports opportunities, if you should have any talents in this area we are always looking for assistance. Please do get in touch.

We have a choir which runs across the year and pupils have the opportunity to sing at a variety of venues and biannually the children attend the Young Voices choir at the 02 in London.

We are a Rock Steady School which means pupils have the opportunity to learn an instrument, become a band and perform one of their favourite songs to the school. Click below to see what it is all about.
