Vision, Aims and Values
‘Growing Together – Branching Out’
The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches. Matthew 13:31-32
This parable is the basis of our school vision which is described below in the acronym - GROWING. Our vision defines who we are and what we believe in as a school - it is the determining factor in everything we do and all decisions that we make.
GROWING
Goals for children are aspirational, challenging, monitored and equitable for all.
Respect for all, supported by the ethos of the Christian faith and being part of a global community.
Opening eyes and hearts to new opportunities and possibilities rooted through a broad and balanced curriculum.
Working with all children and families to develop potential, resilience and self esteem.
Independent, creative learners striving to develop enquiring minds as the child Jesus himself grew in wisdom.
Nurturing, safe and supportive environment where mistakes can be made, learned from and forgiven.
Growing a school of excellence as Jesus said ‘I have come that you may have life and have it to the full’.
Our School Values
Love (Red Team)
Endurance (Green Team)
Awe (Blue Team)
Friendship (Yellow Team)
All schools have values, but as a Christian school our values are firmly rooted in the Bible. We use the acronym LEAF to remember our values.
Our badge has a tree (Mustard Tree)which doubles up as a cross showing the importance of the Christian faith to the school - being at the centre of all we do. The leaves represent our school values and Teams and the people represent our community of children and adults coming together as one.
